Timber Frame

Design

At Staylor Timberframe, our ultimate goal is to create bespoke, energy efficient buildings, to customers individual requirements.

With many years experience specialising in both the design & build of energy efficient timber frame homes, this allows our dedicated team to work one on one to  help bring your ideas to life.

We cover all aspects, offering advice on everything from insulation, to passive solar design & mechanical ventilation & heat recovery systems integration.

We now also offer drawing packages, allowing customers to create their own timber frame kits to help keep costs down. Please see relevant page on this site for info.

Manufacture

Once the design of the building has been approved by our customer, the manufacturing drawings are then created. From these drawings we produce the kit at our facility in Northumberland & then have it transported to your site using vehicles with Hi-Ab cranes to unload once it arrives.

Construction

Once the kit is ready on site, it can then be erected on your prepared foundation, overseen by us but preferably using local tradespeople. We've found that tradesmen who need to travel for work sometimes aren't the best. If tradesmen cant find work where they live, then they're maybe not great tradesmen. When building your new house you will eventually be using local joiners anyway, so we find it best to work with these guys as they will make sure everything is correct, because they'll be hanging doors & fitting kitchens etc in the house later. Not like sub contract fixing teams who just want the kit up as quick as possible so they can get paid.

Not only do you get a better job but you also keep costs to a minimum by removing the additional costs of accommodation, out of town allowance etc for fixing teams from out of the area.
